WELCOME TO GMSA-KNUST!
Assalamu alaikum everyone! GMSA-KNUST welcomes you to 2011 - 2012 academic year. The Ghana Muslim Students' Association (GMSA) provides KNUST students with the opportunity to come together in a supportive Muslim environment and seeks to educate the students and faculty on campus about Islam. All students and community members are welcome to GMSA-KNUST's activites and events.
HADEETH OF THE WEEK!
'Alqama reported: While I was walking with 'Abdullah at Mina, 'Uthman happened to meet him. He stopped there and began to talk with him.
Uthman said to him: Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, should we not marry you to a young girl who may recall to you some of the past of your bygone days; thereupon he said: If you say so, Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:
0 young men, those among you who can support a wife should marry, for it restrains eyes from casting (evil glances). and preserves one from immorality; but those who cannot should devote
themselves to fasting for it is a means of controlling sexual desire.
(Sahih Muslim bk. 8, No: 3231)
washed his face (in the following way): He ladled out a
handful of water, rinsed his mouth and washed his nose with it
by putting in water and then blowing it out. He then, took
another handful (of water) and did like this (gesturing)
joining both hands, and washed his face, took another handful
of water and washed his right forearm. He again took another
handful of water and washed his left forearm, and passed wet
hands over his head and took another handful of water and
poured it over his right foot (up to his ankles) and washed it
thoroughly and similarly took another handful of water and
washed thoroughly his left foot (up to the ankles) and said,
"I saw Allah's Apostle performing ablution in this way."
